WV AHEC CENTRAL OFFICE The WV AHEC Central Office oversees program implementation for the state of West Virginia and is the primary liaison with federal and state governments. The
WV AHEC Central Office works closely with the West Virginia Rural Health
Education Partnerships (WV RHEP) and the four regional AHEC centers to
improve the distribution of primary care providers in underserved rural
communities. The Central Office assists the four regional centers with
recruiting, rotations, continuing education, assessments, evaluations,
and budgeting. The Central Office also works with the National AHEC Organization on legislative and policy issues. The Central Office participates in an annual evaluation of the Cooperative Agreement Program with Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Staff Sandra
